Jeep Parts Advice – We Find the Right Part

On a Jeep, a single detail often decides whether a part fits: the model year, the trim variant, which axle left the factory in your vehicle. That is why we advise before you buy – and the advice comes from people who dismantle and repair these vehicles themselves.

Who gives the advice?

Helmut, our owner, has been working on Jeeps for more than 25 years. He knows the series from the Willys MB to the Gladiator from his own workshop, not from a catalogue. For quick questions our assistant "Ask Helmut" is available on every page – an AI assistant working with our stock and vehicle data. When it reaches its limits, it hands the enquiry over to Helmut personally.

How fast will I get an answer?

The assistant answers immediately. If your enquiry goes to Helmut, we usually reply within about two working days. The fastest route for urgent cases is a phone call to +49 (0) 6654 917240.

What should I include in my enquiry?

  • Model and year, for example Wrangler TJ 1999
  • The VIN – it identifies the trim variant
  • A photo of the part or of where it is fitted
  • For axles and transmissions: type designation or code numbers, if you can read them

Our charts help with identification: axles, transmissions, transfer cases and the model finder.

What can you do that a pure mail-order shop cannot?

We have the vehicles in house. More than 20 Jeeps stand on our premises as parts donors, alongside more than 14,000 items in stock right now, a total range of over 19,000 items and more than 400 axles. When a part is no longer available new, we first check our own teardown stock, then reproduction parts, then custom fabrication. And when something needs to be fitted or rebuilt, our own repair shop in Gersfeld, Germany does the work – from transmission rebuilds to suspension lifts with German TÜV approval.

And if the part does not exist any more?

That is where our work starts. How we source parts no manufacturer supplies is explained on Parts that are no longer made. Whether a used part is worth it and when a new one is the better choice is covered in our used parts guide.
