Jeep Wrangler Parts and Accessories

For many enthusiasts the Jeep Wrangler is the off-road vehicle. And with good reason – it descends from the Willys MB, the military forerunner of the Jeep CJ, where CJ stands for Civilian Jeep. The Willys served almost everywhere in the Second World War and held up in tropical jungle, African desert and European mud. "Faithful as a dog, strong as a mule and nimble as a goat," is how soldiers described the ancestor of every Jeep. Those genes are still there in the Wrangler. It is not indestructible though – wear parts eventually need replacing.

The Wrangler replaced the Jeep CJ in 1987. Its influence was such that the word Jeep has since come to describe an entire class of vehicle.

Which Wrangler generation do you have?

The YJ is the direct successor to the CJ and closely resembles it, set apart mainly by the rectangular headlights. The TJ came in the rugged Sport trim and the more comfortable Sahara line. The JK is longer, larger and handles better on tarmac.

Soft tops, suspension and accessories

We stock parts for exterior, interior, wheels, suspension, soft tops and exhaust systems, along with accessories for every Wrangler generation.

With soft tops the roll bar determines which model fits – on the YJ the 1987–1991 and 1992–1995 model years differ. Our soft top identification helps with the match.

Which axle is in the Jeep Wrangler?

Wrangler YJ and TJ mostly run the Dana 35 rear axle, the TJ also the Dana 44; up front sits the Dana 30, with the Dana 44 in the TJ Rubicon and LJ. Ring gear diameter and spline count for every axle are in the axle application list.

Which transmission does my Wrangler have?

From 1989 to 2002 the four-cylinder YJ and TJ use the AX5 and the six-cylinder models the AX15; late TJs run the NV1500 or NV3550. The transfer case is the NP231. Ratios and years for every type are in the transmission and transfer case charts.
