DuPont™ Delrin® polyacetal homopolymers are engineering thermoplastics
with a high degree of crystallinity, which specify for applications subject to high mechanical stress,
such as gears, safety components, door and conveyor systems, drug delivery systems
- and in many other products and industries.
Delrin® polyacetals (polyoxymethylene, POM) combine very good friction and wear behavior
with the high rigidity and strength required to replace metals.
They offer a wide operating temperature range (–40°C to 120°C), bond well with metals
and other plastics and are characterized by high dimensional stability in precision injection molding.
