To do this you need this modular snorkel.
The modular functionality allows you to mount the intake manifold at hood height,
to draw in clean, cool air from outside the engine compartment, or mount at roof level.
This XHD Modular Mount Snorkel Kit was
Designed for use with 2.8 liter diesel engines.
Each snorkel is also designed to work with a variety of other Rugged Ridge products,
including the windshield light bar,
the windshield auxiliary light mounting brackets, the Sherpa roof rack and the new Exo-Top system.
Installation requires only minor modifications to the inner fender flange
and avoids cutting or drilling on the outside of the Jeep,
that other snorkel kits may require.
